Owerri Branch

The Association of Professional Women Engineers of Nigeria (APWEN),Owerri chapter was inaugurated on Dec 2009 official by Engr Mrs. Nwakaego Ojukwu during the 2009 NSE Conference at Owerri. Prior before the official Inauguration ,the branch has been a full functioning branch participating in all the conference both locally and international. The Association immediately swung into action under the chairmanship of Engr.Dr. Mrs Gloria Chukwudebe , with the numerical strength of 17 members. The Association has been involved in numerous activities which included the following:

    * Career talks to female students at Secondary Schools and Tertiary Institutions

    * Attendance of Annual General Meeting of Nigeria Society of Engineers(NSE)both at local and national levels.

    * Attendance of National Workshops of the Association of professional Women Engineers of Nigeria(APWEN).

    * Sponsoring delegates to national Conference of the Society of women Engineers(SWE) of the united state of America..
